ITIS Giovanni XXIII is a Secondary school situated in the district of Tor Sapienza in Rome. There are about 700 students and 75 teachers in our school. The students, mainly come from the south eastern areas of Rome and attend lessons daily from 8 am to 3pm . They have four different areas where to chose their tuition as the school has been operating in Electronics , IT since 1960 as well as Chemistry , Applied Science and International Marketing. All our students learn English as foreign language and as teachers we feel they deserve more chances to use it. The students attending the Marketing courses also study Spanish and French. This project will be a golden opportunity to use their foreign language mainly for those students who are members of different ethnic groups, being Rome a center of immigration both from European and or non-European countries. There are more than 20 different countries represented in our school at present. The school organizes courses and projects both in curricular and extracurricular activities Giovanni XXIII has been a partner of two former European projects. The first was a Comenius in 2012/14 while the second was a two year Ka219 Erasmus+ project and yet we feel eager to take part, as coordinators, in new one because the school staff believes in students exchange experience.

Seminar on life coaching for teachers to better equip them on the issue and to use new learning environments effectively, as well; Provide educational facilities for growing school-age populations, while taking account of increasing drop-out rates, particularly amongst students from immigrant backgrounds; For students : ındıvıdual sessıons / creatıve workshops / group actıvıtıes / actıvıtıes wıth assocıatıons and organızatıon To take active part in this project we mean to involve the expertise of several teachers who are committed in managing our students’ pathway through learning. We intend to involve them not only in their specific curriculum areas but in the equally important area of the soft skills as well. Learning and work environment has become more demanding in a world characterized by a differentiated education landscape and governed by rapid technological change. ITIS Giovanni XXIII expertise addresses to two problematic issues at schools and in the long term in the society. a) students cannot identify their needs and abilities well enough to plan their career. b) the students find it hard to cope with the pressure and stress of the vague future, as a result they leave school earlier. There is a group of expert teachers that daily works to observe any risk alarm and try to avoid early school abandonment. They cooperate with all school staff in order to reduce student stress level and develop the necessary abilities to manage emotions as well as overcoming anxiety within the classroom and the school premises.
